HPCVL is offering two three-day workshops on parallel programming using OpenMP, Posix Threads, and MPI.

They will take place on the following dates:

Summit 09: Partnerships in CI Development was held in Banff last week. The event provided a venue for many technology-driven groups to co-locate their meetings alongside the Summit to take part in side networking or new collaboration opportunities. These side meetings included the WestGrid Executive Committee and the WestGrid Member Council meetings held on Wednesday, October 15, 2009. Various WestGrid Principal Investigators and Vice-President (Research) and/or delegates were in attendance.

HPDC2010 -- Call for Workshops
We invite proposals for workshops to be held with the ACM Symposium on High Performance Distributed Computing to be held in Chicago, Illinois in June 2009. Workshops will be held June 21-22, preceding the main conference sessions June 23-25.

Workshops provide forums for discussion among researchers and practitioners on focused topics or emerging research areas.  Workshops may be organized in whatever way is appropriate to the topic, possibly including invited talks, panel discussions, presentation... Read more...

The Compute Canada Resource Allocation Committee (RAC) has extended the deadline for call for proposals until September 16, 2009 at 16:00 EDT. The WestGrid RAC is aligning its process and also extending the deadline for proposals to the WestGrid Local RAC until September 16, 2009 at 16:00 EDT.

This year WestGrid is pleased to announce it will be issuing its Local Resource Allocation Committee (LRAC) call for proposals in conjunction with the Compute Canada National Resource Allocation Committee (NRAC) call for proposals. Users who fit the criteria can submit a proposal to the NRAC, well all other users should submit a proposal to the WestGrid LRAC.
