As new next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies continue to emerge, there are many options to choose from when designing an NGS experiment. Selecting the appropriate technology is not always straightforward, given the wide range of choices and differing costs.
In this talk, Yussanne will give an overview of common sequencing technologies and give examples of experiments and biological questions that can be answered by each platform.
She will address common questions such as:
- What sequencing depth do I need for my genomes?
- Should I do exomes or genomes?
- How much sequencing should I do for my RNA libraries?
