As access to fresh tissue becomes increasingly difficult, formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples provide a possible resource for large cohort studies with associated clinical information. However, FFPE samples present unique challenges in sample processing and bioinformatic analysis. This presentation will touch on high level sample processes (library construction and sequencing), as well as bioinformatic artifacts and their associated workarounds that are unique to processing FFPE data.
Who Should Attend:
- Students, researchers and anyone with an interest in sequencing or bioinformatics.
