Time to renew your Compute Canada account - Deadline: May 07, 2019
Compute Canada's annual renewal of accounts has begun and all renewals must be complete by May 07, 2019. This process is essential to collect the information required by Compute Canada's funders and to deactivate accounts that are no longer in use.
Note: You do not need to renew if you created or re-activated an account after January 1, 2019. Only accounts created or activated prior to January 1, 2019 must be renewed at this time.
How to renew your account
- Visit the CCDB
You will receive an email from Compute Canada with a link to its online renwal form in the Compute Canada DataBase: https://ccdb.computecanada.ca/account_renewal Please renew your account as soon as possible to ensure continued access to Compute Canada resources. If no action to renew is taken by May 07, 2019, you (and any users you sponsor) will no longer be able to login to Compute Canada systems.
- Confirm sponsored roles
If you sponsor other users (e.g. PDFs, grad students, etc.), you will also be asked to confirm the accounts of those users when you renew. If any of these accounts are no longer needed or their roles have changed, no action is required -- just let them expire.
- Submit your Canadian Common CV
All university faculty, including adjunct faculty, are required to submit a Canadian Common CV (CCV) or update an existing one and report publications enabled by Compute Canada resources to renew their accounts. Please consult the Compute Canada CCV Submission Guide for further instructions on how to submit or update an existing CCV.
No longer using Compute Canada?
- If you are no longer using your Compute Canada account, and have no plans to use it in the future, you can simply let it expire and it will be automatically deactivated.
- Users that do not want to renew their CC account but still want to recover their files can request a temporary extension by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
