Mourning the victims of Flight PS752

Like all Canadians, we were shocked and heartbroken to hear the fate of Ukraine International Airlines PS752, killing all 176 people on board. Sixty-three of the victims were Canadian citizens. Among them were Compute Canada users, four with connections to the University of Alberta and two to Concordia University.

These members of the Canadian academic community included professors and students. Some were well-established researchers. Others were just beginning to realize their full potential. All were gifted people whose lives and contributions to our world were cut short.

We join the families and loved ones of those who perished, the U of A and Concordia communities, the Iranian-Canadian communities, and all of Canada in mourning this tragic event.
