WestGrid is bringing its four-day Research Computing Summer School to the University of Calgary (UofC) on May 27-30, 2019, hosted in partnership with UofC Research Computing Services and the Schulich School of Engineering. This training event is targeted at researchers interested in building their knowledge and skills in using advanced research computing resources. (Note: A basic / working knowledge of Linux command line usage is required for most courses.)

MONTREAL, QC, April 26, 2019 – Imagine a computer 300,000 times faster than a PC, and with 67,000 times more storage space. Such is Béluga, a supercomputer now serving Québec and Canadian researchers.

Compute Canada's Cedar system will be unavailable on April 29, starting at 6:00 am (Pacific). This outage is necessary to complete electrical work that will allow us to expand Cedar in the future. We will also be upgrading the file system and the network (Omni-Path) drivers.

Compute Canada's annual renewal of accounts has begun and all renewals must be complete by May 07, 2019. This process is essential to collect the information required by Compute Canada's funders and to deactivate accounts that are no longer in use. 

Note: You do not need to renew if you created or re-activated an account after January 1, 2019. Only accounts created or activated prior to January 1, 2019 must be renewed at this time.
