snowpatch.westgrid.ca is now available for logins from the WestGrid community. This cluster has 32 nodes, each with two quad-core processors and 16 GB of memory (RAM). The interconnect between nodes is Gigabit Ethernet. The system is located at SFU and home directories are provided through the WestGrid storage facility gridstore and therefore are identical to those on gridstore, robson, and blackhole.

The University of Manitoba will build a new facility to house some of the most powerful computers in Canada, thanks to the $2.1 million it received from the Federal Government.
