Working with multidimensional arrays is essential in many scientific fields. In this workshop we will focus on working with arrays in Python. We will start with regular numpy ( arrays, then transition to multidimensional labelled arrays with xarray (, and then we will take a look at working with 3D multi-resolution volumetric and particle data in yt ( We will also do some array visualization along the way.

  • A basic familiarity with running Python in Jupyter notebooks is required.
