WestGrid is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will be responsible for the overall success of WestGrid within the broader mandate and vision of Compute Canada. The successful candidate will lead a staff that includes the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Director of Operations (DO), the Collaboration/Visualization Coordinator, financial administrator, and other operational staff or contractors as appropriate.

Primary responsibilities include:

Interface with senior administrators, financial managers and key researchers at all 14 partner institutions

Definition and implementation of operational procedures and policies

Report through WestGrid lead institutions to CFI and its provincial counterparts on financial and operational matters as required

External relations, including promotion of WestGrid to the western Canadian research community
