WestGrid Career Opportunity

WestGrid is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will be responsible for the overall success of WestGrid within the broader mandate and vision of Compute Canada. The successful candidate will lead a staff that includes the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Director of Operations (DO), the Collaboration/Visualization Coordinator, financial administrator, and other operational staff or contractors as appropriate.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Interface with senior administrators, financial managers and key researchers at all 14 partner institutions
  • Definition and implementation of operational procedures and policies
  • Report through WestGrid lead institutions to CFI and its provincial counterparts on financial and operational matters as required
  • External relations, including promotion of WestGrid to the western Canadian research community
