December 14th 2011 - Hermes and Nestor are back!
Update: 21:30 PST - Nestor and Hermes are back on-line and any jobs that were queued have started running.
Update: 17:15 PST - The replacement is taking longer then expected, the cluster will likely not be on-line until 20:00 PST.
Update: 15:20 PST - The vendor is on-site and is replacing the failed controller, we hope to have the cluster on-line by 17:30 PST.
Update: 13:30 PST - We have a hardware failure in one of the disk controllers and we are working with the vendor to resolve the issue. We will update this message when we have more information.
We will be applying OS/Firmware updates to all of the infrastructure within Hermes and Nestor on Wed Dec 14th between 8:00am - 14:00pm PST. All services will be unavailable during this time and would like all users to save their work and logoff prior to 8am PST on Wed Dec14.
A reservation has been applied to the system such that jobs will not start unless they are able to complete prior to the downtime. Adjust your walltime accordingly.
