There currently exists a network problem between Calgary and Edmonton (fibre cut) that prevents connections to all WestGrid facilities located at UofA: checkers, cortex, nexus.

Update 1915 MST Monday, January 11: - The service provider has located the problem and expects repairs to be complete by about 0200 MST Tuesday morning.

Update 0500 MST Tuesday, January 12:  - CANARIE reports that part of the fibre break has been repaired, but, warns that there may still be short outages while the technicians completed their work.

Update 11:30 MST Tuesday, Jan. 12: CANARIE reports that the work has been completed and everything is stable again.
